American Friends Service Committee The Michigan Prison Doula Initiative has partnered with the Good Neighbor Project at the AFSC in order to connect with previously pregnant moms who are inside. Through this co-mentorship process, inside mothers connect with people on the outside to create strong and lasting mentoring relationships. Our goal is to cultivate the bond between women on the outside and women inside to help ease the hardships of delivering while in prison, as well as foster hope for motherhood beyond bars.
