Thank you for such a fantastic year.
Lauren, Alena, Sarah, Rachel S., Evon, Joana, Heather, Jen, Sumeyye, Toni, Lily, Rachel C., Hershy, & Kaicey, I appreciate each of you so much.
Even though it may seem like this year was hectic, I have learned so much about what it means to start a student organization and I could not have done it without all of your patience and feedback. I know this semester I've been primarily MIA, but I see the work that you all have done and I'm really proud of all the efforts you have made. There have been many things that I could never have anticipated, but you have all been very flexible and have dedicated a ton of time into making the organization successful. I hope you will be able to use what you learned as you embark on your future careers (or continue to develop it in the upcoming years with the student org) .
As this year comes to a close, I would love to keep in touch with you all. If you are returning next year for school, please consider applying for a President or VP position, as you are more experienced than anyone and I value your leadership tremendously.
I will be available much more next year to work out some of the kinks we've been experiencing, and of course, I will continue to improve the org and create as much sustainability as possible. If you will not be returning and you would like to recommend somebody to fill your position, please let me know as well. If you would like to help facilitate the student org and be more involved with the nonprofit (MPDI), please send me an email (email@example.com) because I am always looking for help and you all have the best insight into knowing what's best.
Keep doing amazing work! change is happening because of all of you.
This summer and next fall semester I will be working more closely with the Women's Studies Department on integration and partnership with the University. Lots of exciting things to come! I can't thank you all enough for starting what will be an awesome and incredibly valued community of people who care about pregnant mothers in prison. As you all have seen, great things take time and effort to build. You all have done a tremendous job and I'm so grateful to have you as part of the team.
If you have a moment, I would love to get your feedback about what I can do better for next year, and general advice you might have for the organization. Anything is welcome! the survey is completely anonymous unless you'd like to attach your name. Thanks so much.
